Organized, with Professor Jeff Chusid of historic preservation, a mid-career professional workshop on historic preservation and changing demographics in Jackson heights, New York. Workshop held in New York City in June 2008.
Sánchez has worked as a community-based activist on immigration and economic development issues, served for 10 years as a member of Queens Community Board 3, and has been a member of the Planners Network Advisory Committee.
