The Ambulatory and Production Medicine Clinic provides routine and emergency veterinary service on farms within 25 to 30 miles of Ithaca, New York. This includes care of individual cattle, horses, small ruminants, camelids, and swine as well as implementation of production medicine programs in local herds.

Dairy farming is the main livestock business in the area and therefore dairy cattle account for a large part of our caseload. Care is also provided for horses and other livestock species, whether pet or production animals. Click on the pictures below to learn more about services for each species.

Veterinary students accompany clinicians on farm calls, as part of their clinical instruction in primary care of large animals and production medicine. Five faculty and three interns or residents provide clinical service and instruction and are involved in research, classroom teaching and continuing education programs.
