Animal Breeding

Facilities are available to graduate students in each of the following areas: animal cytogenetics, livestock breeding in the tropics, and statistical and quantitative genetics with emphasis on selection programs for improvement of domestic animals (especially beef and dairy animals). Students are expected to participate actively in research programs and are required to do some teaching during their program of study.
